002: Mike Kimmel – Film, TV, Stage & Commercial Actor & Coach

Today’s guest is Mike Kimmel. Mike is a film, television, stage, and commercial actor and acting coach with extensive experience in New York and Los Angeles. He has worked with directors Francis Ford Coppola, Robert Townsend, Craig Shapiro, and Christopher Cain, among others. TV credits include Game of Silence, Zoo, Treme, In Plain Sight, Cold Case, Breakout Kings, Memphis Beat, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. He was a regular sketch comedy player on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, for eleven years, performing live on stage and in pre-taped segments.
Mike has appeared in dozens of theatrical plays on both coasts, including Radio City Music Hall, Stella Adler Theater, The Village Gate, and Theater at the Improv. He trained with such greats as Michael Shurtleff, William Hickey and Gloria Maddox. He holds a B.A. from Brandeis University and an M.A. from California State University.
Mike is an award-winning writer for stage and screen. He is the author of Scenes for Teens, Acting Scenes for Kids and Tweens, and Monologues for Teens.
